New Year's Eve Party

I'm currently trying to unwined from the New Year's Eve Party I just at. I had a great time just chatting, dancing and having fun with people I'd never met before yet made me feel really welcome. They had hired a DJ set, smoke machine and disco lights and I had a great time grooving. I love dancing best when you just hear the music and you close your eyes and just boogy down. It becomes just you and the music. Other time its just fun to dance and watch other people dance while they become lord or lady of the dance (song). Then after a fun night out I drove home and sang to my Amy Grant CD. It's amazing how great it feel just to let go and just sing like no one can hear you or dance like no one is watching. It has such a freedom to it. Well my eyes are starting to close and my mind has finally caught up and my bed is calling that slomber tune. HAPPY NEW YEAR and look out for a year of possibilities!

A chance to dream

I've recently had a fresh start in a new town and with the new year approaching I got inspired by an idea off a US version of the today and they had a wish board. I would rather get a blank canvass and I can put on random dreams throughout the year and see what dreams I achieve and those which were just wishes. The year approaches to me holds so many possibilities and hopefully I allow them to help me grow as a person.

Moving Town

In two weeks time I'm moving to another town. I've visited there a couple of time but never lived. I've got a list of things to do which involve sorting through stuff and cancel different things. I'm sort of excited yet also anxious. I recently heard a quote which said People feel depressed cause they are focused on the past while others feel anxious cause they are focus on the future. Sort of like live in the moment. Enjoy your now life. One of the reason I'm anxious is that I don't yet have a job lined up. I guess I will just have to trust in God and hope for the future. It's a scary thing sort of like putting a car in cruise control and lifting your foot of the accelerator I've yet to master that without fear of losing control of the car. It's probably time I take my foot of the accelerator of my life and put it in cruise control and allow God to take the wheel (I think there's a song by that name) it may help me to feel less worn out. Amen

Maturity is over rated

I was recently told I am lacking maturity.
I decided when I was still in high school maturity and sophistication is boring. I'd rather have fun and enjoy life.
I may not have my own place or cook my own meals or buy my own groceries or have dinner parties yet I am quite content and at peace with myself.
Last night I had a great night of eating homemade pizza, facebooking, while listing to a great music dvd and then watched the Apostles of comedy DVD.
I looked up the definition of majurity and it means fully developed.
I know that psychologically my inner child has grown, physically i am fully developed. Though spiritually I probably doing still have growing to do at God pace which will continue until I die.
So yes spiritually I am not fully developed or mature yet God is in control of this part of my live.

Mish Mash

What do you do when you feel bored with life?
Me well I delve into novels and movies just to escape reality.
One reality I want to escape is people who take others for granted. Or just use them to get some of their joy or happiness, money or just to make themselves feel better and then just drop them.
I'm sure I've done the same or had it happen to me yet I often don't mind cause it means some wants to spend time with you and that you matter for that period of time.
Or I just like being on the edge of crowds so I don't get used anymore.

The Ultimate Gift

We each have been given gifts in life whether we realise it or not. These gifts include:
  • The Gift of work
  • The Gift of laughter
  • The Gift of money
  • The Gift of Gratitude
  • The Gift of Friends
  • The Gift of Giving
  • The Gift of Family
  • The Gift of Dreams
  • The Gift of a Day
  • The Gift of Learning
  • The Gift of Love

When I'm feeling down I watch The Ultimate Gift its an amazing movie. It makes me appreciate these gifts that I have been given and help me not to take them for granted.

I'm fine

But am i really. I could be scared of what the future holds. Or I don't quite know how I'm feeling. I'm stressed cause I'm staying up night trying to escape this reality that has a hold on me. Cause its safer to not face it and then that will make it not real. I'm not good with change. It means that I have no control over what is happening. That my routine will change. I like systems. There is no real system for what I'm going through. I'm trying to keep the faith yet the doubts are there. The future is unknown and it call all change in a flash.

But when you ask how I'm doing I'll tell you I'm fine.

What a week

There have been so many gems of advice and wisdom that have come my way in the last week. Here are just a few of the ones I can remember:

  1. When your on the last of your endurances there is always more that can be squeezed out
  2. Give thanks to those who have been unreliable, neglectful, hurtful, .... cause they have helped you to draw nearer to God and caused a refined form of your character to come out
  3. Heart tests show you what is really in your heart - garbage or goodness
  4. The more the pressure the more the treasure
  5. Your destiny is not attach to what you have lost it is attached to what you have left

Be Her Freedom

There was a girl who wanted a better life
Yet evil came along and caused such strife
She was brutalised and in such a plight
And lives ina world as dark as night
Where evil people find such delight
Can anybody hear her screams tonight.

One day in a Greek train station
A beautiful woman became aware of this situation
Walls plastered displaying devastion
Causing parents and friends such frustration
This godly woman did some investigation
To obtain the way to provide a deviation

Awareness will stop this unholy reign
To cease this emergence of pain
Walking paths of justice we will remain
Young women are being set free through Jesus name
Given a freedom from their shame

Is there life without electricity?

Recently the town where I live was hit by 120km gale force winds and heavy rain fall.
Which has resulted in the power being off for 9pm Saturday night and it is now Tuesday afternoon. An event like this causes you to realise what you do have.

1. a gas stove so we can still cook food or boil water to wash dishes
2. friends that are concerned for your well being
3. a workplace that still has power
4. a mobile phone to keep in contact with people.....

So the answer is yes you can live without electriciy and hopefully it will be put back on really soon :)
